Bryden Krebs
Dr. Bryden Krebs

Veterinarian

Bryden’s love for animals is evident in his diverse practice, with a particular fondness for small animals and dairy cattle. He actively seeks to expand his knowledge, completing the Dairy Australia Countdown training in 2017-2018 to enhance his expertise in milk quality and farm management.

His pursuit of excellence extends beyond dairy, as he has undertaken further education at the University of Melbourne in small animal dentistry and honed his ultrasonography skills through further training.

Bryden’s dedication to his family is equally strong, and when not tending to his patients, he cherishes time with his wife Sarah, a qualified veterinary nurse and the business manager, and their three children. He shares his home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Nyota and Nova, adding a furry dimension to his already fulfilling life.

Dr. Dora Cheung

Veterinarian

Originally from Hong Kong, Dora graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After completing a month-long placement with us during her final year, she decided the South Coast lifestyle was for her and joined our team in March — fitting in seamlessly from the start.

Dora brings a cheerful energy to the clinic and is known for her warm smile and ability to make people feel instantly welcome. Even during her placement, she was recognised for her bright, colourful scrubs — bringing a bit of extra brightness to each day.

What made you choose to become a vet?
Growing up with a wide range of pets — from cats and a lovebird to tortoises, an iguana and fish — deepened my love for animals. I love that every day is so varied, and that I get to work with patients ranging from 50g to 500kg.

What are you loving most about living on the South Coast?
The welcoming community and the balance of ocean and bush — it’s the perfect place to spend time outdoors.

What is your ideal pet?
A cuddly cat, a rex rabbit, or even a mini farm with ducks, cows, alpacas and a snake… anything that wanders through the door is welcome!

What is an interesting fact about you?
I used to do musical theatre but now spend my time trail running and ultrarunning — including completing a 100km event around Mt Buller.

Dr. Alexandra (Sasha) Fraser

Veterinarian

Sasha graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and joined our team in January — fitting in seamlessly from the start.

She has always had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes, with childhood favourites including sheep, ducks and horses — a passion that naturally led her into veterinary science.

What made you want to become a vet?
I’ve always loved animals of all varieties and sizes, so the seed was planted early on. No matter which subjects I studied, nothing drew me in quite like veterinary science and being able to work with (and help!) animals.

What pets do you have?
My beautiful girl Pepper, a 12-year-old Airedale Terrier — full of personality and always keen for a beach walk.

Favourite thing about being a vet?
Being able to advocate for our patients and work with owners as a team to do the right thing by their animals. I also love working outdoors with our larger patients — especially in such a beautiful part of the world.

Favourite animal?
At the moment… leafy sea dragons.

Current hobby?
I’ve recently taken up cycling — it’s very humbling, but also very fun!

Belle Andrews

Veterinary Nurse

Belle is one of our homegrown locals here in Berry. She first joined Berry Vet Clinic back in 2016, working as a nurse for a couple of years before taking time away from clinic life to focus on her children and pursue her passion for wildlife and exotic animals.

In 2022, she returned to Berry Vet and rekindled her love for vet nursing — and we’re so glad she did.

Let’s get to know her a little better…

Why did you want to become a vet nurse?
My family has a history of medical professionals in the human world. I wanted to continue that legacy, but my passion for animals led me into vet nursing instead.

What would you do if you weren’t nursing?
In the past I’ve studied book binding and forensic science — so if I couldn’t work with animals, I’d definitely be doing something along those lines.

How many pets do you have?
I have two dogs, Morgan and Edamame, a bird named Knox, a lizard called Winston the Wizard… and a whole bunch of fish!

What area of the clinic do you love working in most?
I love being out on farms doing large animal work with the vets, and also running pathology tests in the clinic lab.

Belle brings a calm, steady presence to the clinic and is a valued part of our team. Her connection to Berry Vet goes back many years — having worked here before, and later returning after a chance visit that turned into a conversation… and a job offer she hasn’t looked back from.

She’s also an incredible baker and artist (though she’s far too humble to say so herself).

We’re so glad to have Belle back as part of the team.

Sahra McAleer

Senior Veterinary Nurse

Sahra has been a qualified veterinary nurse for over 11 years and joined our team in 2020.

After completing her training and working in private practice, Sahra spent a number of years at the Shoalhaven Animal Shelter before returning to clinical nursing. We’re so grateful she did — she is one of our senior nurses and a highly valued part of our team.

When did you know you wanted to be a veterinary nurse?
I’ve always said from a young age that I wanted to work in the animal industry. It really clicked after attending a consult with our local vet for our family cat — I knew then and there I wanted to help animals. It wasn’t until later that I chose vet nursing as my career.

What animals do you currently have?
I have one cat named Star Anise Mittens. She’s a sassy 8-year-old silver tabby — but full of love.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I have a few! I was a ballroom dancer for 14 years and still love dancing — I’ve also done rock and roll and other styles. Another fun one is that I can back squat over 115kg… or a more widely known one — my love for Disney!

What is your favourite thing to do in the clinic?
I love heading out on large animal call-outs with the vets, and I really enjoy assisting with and monitoring a variety of surgical procedures.

Sahra has a way of lighting up a room. She brings energy, humour and warmth to the clinic, while maintaining strong professionalism and skill in everything she does — we’re very lucky to have her on the team.

Tayla Reynolds

Veterinary Receptionist

Tayla joined our team in September after moving down from the North Coast of NSW, eager to begin her journey into the veterinary profession. She has aspirations of becoming a veterinary nurse and has already started her Animal Studies Certificate — something we’re proud to support as she builds her experience.

Tayla brings a great sense of humour and quick wit to the team, and is a joy to work with. It has been a pleasure watching her grow into the role and gain confidence as she steps further into the veterinary world.

Let’s get to know her a little better…

Why did you choose to work in the veterinary field?
I have always loved animals and want to help and care for them in any way I can.

What animals do you have?
I currently have a 6-month-old Cavoodle named Yogi. He’s a very cheeky boy and definitely keeps me on my feet!

Favourite animal?
Either a dog or a horse — currently!

Why do you love working with us?
Berry Vet has a great work environment filled with support and care. The team makes work fun and is the best I’ve ever worked with.

Tayla is a valued part of our team, and we’re excited to support her as she continues to grow in the veterinary industry.
